Coastal Kadazan (autonym Boos Momogun) is the Dusunic Austronesian language of Penampang and Papar on the west coast of Sabah, distinct from the inland Central Dusun (dtp) cluster though mutually partly intelligible and unified under the KDCA literary standard. Uses a five-vowel system with phonemic /v/ (a typological rarity in Sabahan), and like other Dusunic languages has a rich Philippine-type voice system (actor/patient/locative/instrumental focus). Penampang is the cultural heartland of the Kaamatan harvest festival.
